Failure to Launch: Support for Young Men
Across the Hudson Valley and beyond, many young men are struggling to step into adulthood. They lack motivation, move back home with no clear plan, or drift between jobs. Often called “failure to launch syndrome.”
But this struggle isn’t about anyone’s laziness. It’s about missing guidance, challenge, and mentorship.
What I Offer Young Men:
- One-on-one psychotherapy or coaching* focused on clarity, healing, confidence, and accountability.
- Mindfulness and embodiment practices to regulate emotions and build resilience.
- Practical mentorship that supports job readiness, independence, and healthy relationships.
- Pathways into men’s groups for connection and community when ready.
For Parent/Guardians: I also support parents and guardians of young men who are struggling to launch. Helping you to:
- Step back in a healthy way without giving up.
- Create boundaries that encourage independence.
- Feel supported instead of isolated in this process.

The transition to adulthood is a threshold moment.
With the right support, a young man can find direction, build momentum, and create a life of purpose. Without it, he may remain stuck for years.
I offer support to young men in New York and online making this work accessible no matter where you live.
