About Simon
Simon is on a mission to create a world of more connection, health, and justice, by helping us to slow down, and to connect to the wisdom of our bodies, our hearts, our minds, and the earth.
His approach is collaborative, relational, and rooted in nature. Working from a holistic perspective, Simon supports clients in making positive change and creating more peace. Addressing our inner work, he aspires to recognize the ways our challenges are shaped by ancestral and historical context.
Simon received his Masters in Social Work from the University at Albany where he studied the interplay between trauma and gender. He holds a B.S. from the University of Vermont where he focused on exploring the relationship between a healthy human psyche and a vibrant natural world.
With more than a decade of experience working closely with transformative nature programming for youth and adults, he sees the more-than-human world as a valuable ally in the healing process. He has more than ten years’ experience facilitating men’s groups and life-changing men’s weekends with the ManKind Project where he is a Leader in Training.
In addition to clinical studies, Simon has been a longtime student of yoga and meditation. He received his yoga teacher certification in India where he studied traditional forms of Ayurveda and ashtanga yoga. He also trained in two cohorts with the Elat Chayyim Advanced Meditation Program. He believes that mindfulness and our embodiment can play a central role in our healing.
