Social connection is just as important for us Dads, but for many of us, time for friendship falls to the bottom of the prioritization pile.
Let’s be honest: too many of us Dads try to go it alone. And when we do, the weight shows up somewhere: in our stress, our habits, or our relationships. But we can do better.
Our children and partners thrive when we are strong, present, and caring fathers who stay engaged and connected. They deserve men who are courageously loving and rooted in relationships that bring out the best in us as human beings. Together we can show our children what grounded, wholehearted men look like, and embody versions of fatherhood and manhood they’ll be proud to carry forward.
As parents of Acorn School children, we have a unique opportunity to leverage our Acorn community.
The strength of an oak tree arises out of its relationship to the forest itself.
Join us this fall for Acorn School’s Men’s Group for Fathers.
We’ll expand our network of roots and connection, leaning into relationships with other fathers to bring more fun and more support into our lives.
Together, we will experience the goodness of the Acorn School grounds for ourselves, sitting beside some of the same fires that our little ones enjoy during the school day.
WHO
The Acorn Father’s Group is facilitated by Simon Abramson LCSW. For nearly two decades, Simon has been creating spaces where men can drop pretense, build trust, and engage in the work of self-inquiry, accountability, and authentic connection.
As a somatic psychotherapist, student of wildness, and group facilitator, Simon brings advanced training in trauma healing and draws on evidence-based practices in embodiment, mindfulness, and nature connection. He will ensure that our fireside conversations draw from our strengths while also challenging us in the name of greater courage and wholeheartedness.
